Use LEDs

(LED) lights is one of the easiest things we can all do. They use around 90% less energy than conventional halogen ones, save money and have long life spans.
The Climate Group estimates that: ‘Lighting accounts for nearly 5% of global CO2 emissions. A global switch to energy efficient light emitting diode (LED) technology could save over 1,400 million tons of CO2 and avoid the construction of 1,250 power stations.’
Project Drawdown estimates that:
‘As LEDs replace less-efficient lighting, 10.2-10.8 gigatons of carbon dioxide emissions could be avoided in residences and 5.9-6.7 gigatons in commercial buildings.
