Thanks to various refill campaigns, it's becoming easier and easier to top them up when we are out and about.

Water UK estimates that ‘bottled water is around 900 times more carbon intensive than tap water’ and that ‘in the UK 7.7 billion plastic water bottles are used each year, with the average person in the UK now using 150 plastic water bottles every year’.

In order to try to reduce these horrendous numbers, City to Sea started a Refill campaign in 2015 to make it easier for people to reuse and refill their bottles on the go. Since then the movement has gone global.

In Wales, the Welsh Government is committed to making Wales the world’s first ‘Refill Nation’.

So, ditch the shop bought water bottles and start to refill.

You can find where you local refill points are here.
