Ditch wrapping paper and cards

Rather than buying paper to wrap presents, why not put them in gift bags or boxes that can then be reused for many years?

Each year, we in the UK use 227,000 miles of wrapping paper at Christmas time. A lot of that isn’t even suitable for recycling.

Rather than buying paper to wrap presents, why not put them in gift bags or boxes that can then be reused for many years?

Or you could use newspaper instead and then recycle that, or even some fabric, which you can use again and again.

Use string or ribbon, which can be reused time and again, rather than sticky tape.

Can you send e-cards instead of adding to the estimated 1.5billion cards that are thrown away after each Christmas?
