Plant or sponsor a tree

Published: 10 Nov 2021

Trees are amazing things! They help combat climate chaos, clean our air, provide home and shelter for a huge variety of living things, cool our towns and cities and help our well being.

If you have a bit of space in your garden and fancy planting a tree then there is a lot of information out there to help you. Check out The Woodland TrustEden Project, and RHS,

You might also like to become part of the Trillion Tree  Campaign set up by (the then 9 years old!) German Felix Finkbeiner.

If you don’t have any space at home or your garden isn’t suitable to plant any trees or even if you’d just like to support more tree planting in other areas, you might like to think of sponsoring a tree. There are, not surprisingly, a host of such schemes out there. Are there any in your local areas you could support?

Some examples and options are:

Coed Cadw, Size of Wales, Trees for the Future, NHS Forest, The National Forest, World Land Trust, TreeSisters, International Tree Foundation and a Trillion Trees.

And don’t forget about the bees!
