Friends of the Earth Cymru are campaigning for the introduction of a sustainable baby bundle based on the model used in countries such as Finland and Scotland but this time with locally sourced eco friendly sustainable products such as reusable nappies allied to the introduction of local nappy laundering schemes which would in turn help create more jobs in communities around Wales.
In the meantime, if you are expecting or have recently had a baby, do consider the benefits of real nappies.
