Taking part in a citizen science project is a nice way to help, whilst at the same time becoming part of a network of thousands of volunteers across the UK and wider world.

Citizen science (also known as community science, crowd science, crowd-sourced science, civic science, or volunteer monitoring) is scientific research conducted, in whole or in part, by amateur (or nonprofessional) scientists.
