Avoid SUVs

Sports Utility Vehicles, aka Chelsea Tractors, have been a concern for many many years now, and it’s frustrating we still need to be talking about these.
There are around 5 million of these vehicles registered in the UK.
Rather frighteningly, SUVs have been responsible for the second largest contribution to the increase to CO2 emissions from 2010-2018.
In that period, their annual emissions rose to more than 700 megatonnes of CO2 which is more than the yearly total emissions of the UK and the Netherlands combined. That’s quite staggering really.
If you are thinking about a new car, please don’t look towards SUVs.
