The following AMs have given their public support to the campaign to ban fracking:

Hefin David AM

Jane Hutt AM

Jenny Rathbone AM

John Griffiths AM

Lee Waters AM

Llyr Gruffydd AM

Mick Antoniw AM

Mike Hedges AM

Nick Ramsay AM

46 out of 60 assembly members voted in favour of a fracking ban when it was debated in the Senedd in October 2017.

In a video uploaded to Twitter and Facebook, Hefin David AM said:  'the only way to prevent fracking is through legislation which is why I support a ban on fracking.

AMs from all political parties are expected to publicly support the campaign over the next few months.

Friends of the Earth Cymru and Frack Free Wales are jointly calling for the current moratorium on fracking in Wales to be converted into a full ban. The two organisations are also calling for a greater focus on developing renewable energy sources and improving energy efficiency to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.
